Join us this Thursday at Northstar for a special BLOC Connections gathering celebrating nine years of Business Leaders of Colors.

Nine years ago, Gladys Brangman created BLOC to bring entrepreneurs together in a way Ithaca had not seen before, a space where business owners of all colors could share knowledge, amplify each other’s work, and access opportunities that were often out of reach when navigating the system alone. What began as a bold idea has grown into a network that continues to strengthen businesses and relationships across our community.

The number nine carries meaning across cultures. It represents completion, wisdom gained through experience, and the beginning of a new cycle. Reaching nine years is both a milestone and a moment to look ahead.

During this gathering, and in recognition of Women’s History Month, we will also honor the women whose leadership and dedication helped shape BLOC.
