BLOC began with the understanding that collaboration and not competition, provides the greatest opportunity, motivation, and success for small business owners.
Why the (s) you ask?
Why Business Leaders of Color(s) and not Business Leaders of Color? Well the “S” Sparks the conversation. We originally named the network Business Leaders of Color and changed the name from color to colors because we wanted to make sure we were inclusive of all nationalities, genders and colors.
Business Leaders of Colors is a group of small business owners committed to social justice. BLOC is a network created for overlooked, underrepresented, business owners of colors. We know that all is not equal in the business world and we are working to level the playing field and create a supportive space for commerce that benefits the under served business community. This network is our fight for social justice. We are dedicated to making an impact and to bringing change. We are continuously working to create and rollout an improved member experience.

If you would like to support our Network, you can do so by becoming a member. We welcome all business owners and community members with a penchant for building a diverse and supportive network that seeks collective growth through community, engagement and collaboration. You may also support our network through sponsorship by making a donation. Any donation funds received will be used to provide network membership and support for a Black Owned Business.
How we make an impact
Equity — We act as a vehicle to funnel funding and resources to help build a demographic of historically under-served business owners.
Development — We create educational resources and opportunities to promote and grow our network of business owners.
Community — We create fortified connections within our network that are supportive and engaged. We also connect our members to local, regional and national communities.
Technology — We use technology to champion our cause that helps our members build presence and grow collectively.
We define a Business Leader as an entrepreneur, small business owner, employee of a non-profit or anyone with a desire to start a business and connect with business owners of colors in their community.
