Senior Training and Education Consultant at Cornell University

The Office of Institutional Equity and Title IX (OIETIX) has university-wide civil rights compliance responsibilities which primarily include preventing and addressing sexual and related misconduct, prohibited discrimination, and protected-status harassment. The OIETIX compliance framework encompasses these four functional areas: compliance administration and office management, data collection and analysis, incident response and resolution, and training and education.

As a Senior Training and Education Consultant and a member of the AVP for OIETIX’s senior team, you will contribute to the strategic vision of the OIETIX bringing informative and engaging educational programs and solutions to the Cornell community to address and prevent sexual harassment, other sexual misconduct, discrimination, and protected-status harassment.

As the subject matter expert and lead for the training and education function of OIETIX, this position is responsible for applying a comprehensive understanding of the legal/regulatory compliance requirements and the University’s policies, procedures to best practices, including outreach, training, and education to the investigators and campus partners. Building effective university and community partnerships (in Ithaca as well as domestically and internationally with college/ units and students) is essential to supporting Policy 6.4, related laws, policies, and practices to foster a positive campus climate.

Training Funds Available from Tompkins Workforce NY

If you are interested in training for a currently approved in-demand job in Tompkins County, please reach out to us to learn more about this program. Funds are provided through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and applicants may be eligible based on income, being unemployed or facing specific barriers to employment. The training must be with an approved training provider. Funding is limited to a total of $5000 over your lifetime, $3000 of which can be applied to tuition and the remainder can be split between transportation, required books and supplies, exam and certification fees.
